Fish oil is a viscous yellow liquid with a characteristic odor of the processed raw material. It is obtained from the treatment of the liquid phase (separation and centrifugation) in the fishmeal production process. Fish oil is stored in an unrefined state. Its shelf life is approximately 12 months under normal ambient temperature and humidity conditions.
It is distributed in bulk, flexitanks and containers. It is used in animal consumption and human consumption as a source of omega 3.
