PROBASA
We are a Panamanian fishing company with high technology in the elaboration of marine ingredients and that carries out its operations with environmental and social responsibility. Since 2017 we have been taking high quality products to very demanding markets around the world.
Our human team is formed by more than 150 collaborators committed to the organizational culture and values of the company.
Probasa belongs to Alfa Gamma Group, a business conglomerate headquartered in Miami, USA, with more than 40 years of experience in the direct human consumption fishing sector.
Our plant is located in the port of Coquira about 45 minutes from the city of Panama, right on the shores of the Chepo River. Following the Chepo river for about 14 kilometers, our fishing vessels end up in the Pacific Ocean, right in the heart of the prime fishing grounds for our products’ raw material.
This short distance allows our raw materials to arrive fresh while allowing us to provide you with premium quality products. Our fleet is also refrigerated to ensure freshness given the fact that Panama has a tropical climate
Bayano Shipyard who has been in the market for more than 20 years provides us with professional maintenance to our fleet to ensure they will be always operating during fishing season.

Our Fleet
It consists of 04 vessels with the most modern technology for purse seine fishing and with RSW system (refrigerated recirculating water system) for the preservation of the raw material in the holds. We operate respecting the established closed seasons and minimum sizes, thus complying with national and international sustainability standards.
